You and Them - Chapter One: Rin Okumura

It’s Wednesday, early summer. You just finished P.E. and walk over to your dorm to clean yourself up. Obviously, nobody likes a girl who smells like sweat. And for you are single, you don’t want to scare all those hot male students at the True Cross Academy!
The sun blinds your eyes, making it difficult to see where you’re going. You just hope you don’t walk into that creepy principal, Johann Faust…or Mephisto. You don’t know what his real name is. He just has too many names and in fact, you try to avoid contact with this purple-haired clown.

You are lost in your mind, thinking about everything and nothing, when you suddenly walk into someone. You crawl back on your feet and prepare to run away if you’d see Mephisto. But it isn’t him.
No. It is one of the hottest boys you’ve ever seen in your life. His mid long, dark blue hair matches his perfect, bright blue eyes perfectly. His clumsiness and sloppy way of tying a tie make him even cuter. You blush deep red and smile at the boy sitting in front of you. He looks up at you and you can’t stop staring at his eyes. A feeling inside you makes your body feel tender, almost like collapsing. This guy makes your heart thump faster. Or maybe it is just the combination of hunger, thirst and hot temperatures that make you hallucinate. Maybe, this handsome angel is just a dream. Maybe you ran into Mephisto, but you imagination sees someone else because you want it to be like that.

“I…I’m sorry?” you say with a silent voice, biting the top of your index.
The boy smiles back at you and you see his bright white teeth. They look sharper than every single denture you’ve ever seen in your life. He crawls back on his feet and wipes some dirt off his uniform. He’s not much taller than you, about 5’8”, which makes him…again…cute. “Rin…Okumura,” he says. “That’s my name.”
“Nice to meet you, Rin,” you tell him, thinking what a cute name he has. “I’m ________.”
“Pretty name. It fits you.”
You blush as Rin makes his first compliment.
“Your name fits you too,” you say.
“Does it?”
“Yes. You’re cute, and so is your name.”
Rin smirks. He steps a bit closer to you, making you feel hotter. His body temperature must be really high because you could already feel it. You ask yourself if he wasn’t ill or something. “I’m not only cute,” he says with a wink. He offers you a hand. “Can I join you to wherever you were going?”
You stared at the hand for just a small second before accepting his offer. “I was on my way to my dorm. Changing clothes and getting a shower.” Rin softly squeezes your hand. You chuckle at the feeling, thinking it feels good.
“You just had P.E.?” Rin asks.
You nod.
“Cool. Anyway, you’re not the only one who needs a shower.”
You look up at him, confused. What was he trying to say? You don’t even know this guy and he already wants to share a shower with you!
“Eh, Rin?”
“Yes, ________?”
“I don’t know you.”
“Yes, you do.”
“No, I don’t.”
“You know my name. That’s everything you should know about me.”
“Well, not if you want me to join you.”
“Join me?”
“You know what I mean. Showers?”
“Ooooh! So you were thinking I want to see you naked?”
“Uhm.”
“Well, I can imagine how it will look like.” Rin’s eyes scan every detail of your body. It wasn’t very difficult to do, because the short skirt only hides a part of your thighs and the white blouse makes your shapes come out clearly. You blush, feeling slightly offended but not endangered. Rin looks like a nice, caring kid who won’t even hurt a fly. In fact, you won’t mind if he joins you in the showers. You are single and you are longing for a male in your life. And Rin? He just has the perfect looks.
“So…am I ever going to see you again if we split up now?” Rin asks when you arrive at the main entrance of the Academy.
You take a pen from your backpack and reach for his hand. It’s softer than the other male hands you ever held. It feels warm and strong. You write down your number and immediately walk off, glancing back only once to see the cute and confused look on his face.
